Commerce and Accountancy |
To impart wholesome commerce education to young women from all strata of society and empower them to face the challenges of education with ethical values.
Objectives:
• To impart knowledge in commerce to all students enrolled under commerce faculty
• To enable students to apply theoretical knowledge to practical situation through necessary training
• To identify students with research aptitude and build research abilities in them
• To facilitate all commerce students to have wholesome personality development
• To sensitize commerce students on issues related to global changes and social concerns.
• Develop interests in knowing the recent development in the teaching methodology, and technological developments in Commerce and Accountancy
• Apply the knowledge in analyzing higher secondary Commerce and Accountancy contents in terms of the techniques and aids for the purpose of teaching Commerce and Accountancy
• Develop interests in learning recent developments in Commerce and Accountancy
• Develop a desirable positive attitude towards the teaching of Commerce and Accountancy
• Student success in college requires well developed learning skills (such as being able to work independently, participate in a team, be well–organized, develop good work habits, and show initiative).
• These skills are as important as prior academic achievement.
• While it is expected that applicants would have developed these skills through previous education and life experiences, Seneca offers support to assist students with further development of these important skills. Seminars, workshops and tutoring are available at Seneca's Learning Centers.
